A. Babol Kenar Line Project:

The only broiler grand parents day old chicks production site in Iran. It is capable of producing 300,000 grand parents a year. It is governmentally authorized and is actually the bank of genes in Iran.

B. Broiler Grand Parents Farms:

The 8 active units in this field can provide the local market with all its requirements and they supply their own needs from abroad. The imported breeds are: Arbor Acres, Ross, Hobbard , Lohmann and Cubb 500 and the domestic one provided by Babol Kenar Line is Arian. The whole grand parents produce over 10 million day old chicks annually which exceed the limits of local requirements. Four new units are yet to be added.

 C.  Broiler Breeders Farms

280 units are producing day old chicks in Iran at the moment. One billion chicks are produced of which only 800 million are used under suitable circumstances.

D. Broilers Farms:

According to the statistics 18,000 units of this type exist of which 16,000 seem to be active. Although these have the potential to produce over a billion, only 800 million broilers are grown annually.

E. Industrial Slaughter Houses:

100 active units exist. They hold a capacity of 600,000 tons annually. According to the new regulations forcing the producers to pack poultry meat, freezing and packaging lines are needed to be launched.
